Joan --- And of course Cumberland County didn't exist in 1738--so it would have to be Lancaster County but could be in an area that is currently Cumberland County. In the records of Rev. John Cuthbertson: 17 Aug. 1756 "Rode 21 miles to Jo Sloans; married James Mitchel and Mary Sloan." And... 14 Dec. 1769: "Rode 16 miles -- married James Mitchel and Han. Peterson. (From home.)" Note that neither of these names is the wife listed in the above GEDCOM for the wife of the James MITCHELL born 28 Sept. 1738. Joan
