I need more information about the Abraham Scott family. One source says he married Rebecca McDowell and another said Margaret McFarland. Various sources have said his children were: Alexander Scott (md Mary Carr?), Grace "Grisel" md a Pedan, Ann married Arthur Patterson (and Bartham Gallbraith?), Rebecca married James Agnew, Samuel Scott, Female married William Carr, Elizabeth married James Moore, Josiah (married Violet Foster?), Abraham, Jean married a Wilson, Thomas, Hugh (married Janet Agnew?), and most importantly of all (to me) Female Scott (Sarah or Mary?) who married Abraham Lowry or Lowrey. I am trying to determine exactly what this daughter's name was--Sarah or Mary, their children's names and any other helpful information such as who Abraham Lowry's father was. I found the following record: Abstracts of Wills Recorded in Administrator's Books, Registrar's Office, Philadelphia Sarah Lowry, at sea, on board the John J., dated August 1, 1746; mentioned son Abraham; daughters Margret, Eliza, and Martha Lowry; witnesses, James Kincaid, Samuel Means, William Waughub, and Thomas Marshall; administrator to Samuel Scott, of Lancaster County, August 1, 1746.
