Hi Susan, Wheatland Mills shows up on the 1864 Atlas, there is a link on our web page to a web page that has these maps. Its about half a mile north of Rt 741 on a small stream that runs into the Pequea Creek. The easiest way to find it is to check the 1864 Atlas for West Lampeter Twp. They have West Lampter included with Pequea Twp, its on the one identified as West Pequea and West Lampeter Twp. Its near East Lampeter Twp. I found a note on the PA State Archives site that it was between Lampeter and Strasburg. On Mapquest, I find little side roads called Wheatland School Road and Wheatland Park Lane in the vicinity of where Pequea Creek crosses Village Road, which between Lampeter and Strasburg. Could Wheatland Mills have been about where the creek crosses this road? Is there any connection with Pughs Mill?
