I'm trying to determine the parents of John C. RITTENHOUSE, born in PA on 5 Apr 1802. He and his immediate family lived in Lancaster County from about 1830 until he died in 1885 in Lancaster City. If I could determine when and where he was baptized or maybe his middle name, I might then be able to determine his parents's names? The Lancaster County Historical Society has a Rittenhouse genealogy by Milton Rubincam. I've always assumed they had it because the Rittenhouses of Lancaster County were related to the Rittenhouse family of Philadelphia. You might want to check Lancaster County's on-line card catalog to get the exact title.
