Hello. I grew up near East Salem, Juniata County but moved away when I married. I grew up on a farm. Our neighbors to the north were the Landis' and to the south, the Auker/Acker family. The Aukers were Mennonite and the Landis' (at least the ones I knew) were not. Both were wonderful neighbors. Have you tried contacting the Juniata County Historical Society in Mifflintown for information? I have found some very helpful people there.
