I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the KREIDER Family of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The first is a photograph of Harry KREIDER and his wife. The photograph was taken at the Aller's Gallery in Lancaster, probably sometime in the 1880's with the couple appearing to be in their 20's or 30's. The second is a photograph of Elva KREIDER and was taken at the Lease Studio in Lancaster. I think the second photograph was probably taken in the 1890's with Elva looking to be about 1 year old at the time. Based on limited research, I believe that this is likely a photograph of Harry KREIDER son of Isaac & Mary KREIDER who were living with their family in Leacock, PA during the 1880 census with records providing the following information: Isaac KREIDER, age 43, born PA, a Farmer, parent born PA Mary KREIDER, wife, age 40, born PA, Keeping House, parents born PA Anna Mary KREIDER, dau, age 18, born PA, at Home Harry KREIDER, son, age 13, born PA, at Home Susie E. KREIDER, dau, age 10, born PA, at Home Emanuel J. KREIDER, son, age 5, born PA Elizabeth KREIDER, dau, age 3, born PA Charles WEAVER, other, age 18, born PA, a Laborer, parents born PA In the 1910 census of Bart, PA I find the Harry KREIDER Family as follows: Harry KREIDER, age 44, married 19 years, born PA, parents born PA, a Farmer Sallie KREIDER, wife, age 30, married 19 years, 6 children/3 living, born PA, parents born PA/Germany Elva M. KREIDER, dau, age 17, born PA Frank M. KREIDER, son, age 14, born PA Blanche M. KREIDER, dau, age 9, born PA In addition to these two photographs I've also recovered photographs belonging to the BURKHOLDER, WEAVER, MCCLEARY, ECKMAN, DECKER, and STOUTZENBERGER Families. I've no idea how they all may be connected, though I know that the handwritten notes on all were made by the same hand so it is certain that they belonged together at some point in the past. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
