I have two ancestors - father and son - who have the same name. One of them signed an Oath of Allegiance to PA in 1777 in Donegal Twp. I would like to be able to determine which man most likely signed the oath. The father was born in Germany and was naturalized in 1769. He was age 65 in 1777. His son of the same name was born in PA; he was age 25 in 1777 and unmarried. There is no record of him serving in the war. Both men were living in Donegal Twp in 1777. Any thoughts on which one signed the oath?
