    3. Greetings, Are there any tax records available for Leacock Twp. for the period 1750-1770? I could not find any for Leacock in the LDS holdings, but other townships were listed. I am searching for a Hugh McLaughlin/McGlaughlin who resided there during that time. The McLaughlins were my wife's ancestors, but I also have Lancaster roots, being descended from the Stauffers, Sherricks, Mussers, Nissleys, and others. Thank you, Tom

    3. There are probably tax lists for Leacock and other Lancaster County townships in the printed Pa. Archives, 3rd Series, it has a tax list for all of Pa.for the years 1771-1773-1779 and 1782. Most Pa. libraries have this series but if you live outside the state check a local university library, they often have these as part of their history collection. One advantage is you can usually check your local university library by logging on their web page and checking their on-line catalog.
