To James Stokes, I appreciate clarification of the way the aleggiance worked, suppose my ancester was not listed for 2 of the reasons, his sone did go to war, but also if my records are close he also would have been an "old man", perhaps 57 years old. To Madaline; I don't believe this is my family, they were apparently at Frederick but much earlier than that.. I am always amazed at how many people doing genealogy who are so unselfish and helpful, it is wonderful!! Betty Edwards.
