OK, the good news is I found a few more ancestors.....bad news is, of course, that now I have more puzzle pieces to put together. If anyone can supply birth, marriage, death/burial info, I would be very grateful -- and, if we are connected, I am happy to share info. Here goes: Looking for info on John McKILLIPS and Margaret MOSS. Most of the census info says they were both born PA, although the 1880 census says Ireland for both. Margaret born 1795, John earlier (according to the 1840 census, he was older, but I don't know how much). Probably married abt. 1818. Children: Hannah, b. 1820 Sarah, b. 1822 Margaret Ann, b. 1824 Ellen b. 1824/25 (possibly Margaret Ann's twin, although I don't know for sure) Isaiah, b. 1828 James, b. 1830 All of them were born in Lancaster Co., probably Leacock or East Lampeter. However, Curtis Hannum's history of the Hannum family says that John & Margaret lived in Gordonville, Lancaster Co. (The Hannums tie in thru Margaret Ann's marriage [she's my line]): Margaret Ann married Lytle CARUTHERS in 1842. Isaiah married Mary (maiden name unknown). I have Margaret and Lytle's descendants and have census info on Isaiah and Mary. Hannah and Sarah McKILLIPS apparently never married, as they lived with Margaret Ann and Lytle later on. I have no info on Ellen or James. John McKillips disappears from the census after 1840, so he undoubtedly died bet. 1840-50. The family was probably Presbyterian. Margaret lived with Margaret Ann & Lytle for a while also. Either Margaret or John possibly had a sister named Ann who married a McPHERSON. Ann McPherson lived next door to Margaret Ann & Lytle for a time, then moved in with them. My John Humphreys CD with birth records has mysteriously vanished (it might not help, I know), so I can't check it. If anyone recognizes anything or can do any lookups, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
