I'm looking for anybody who can shed some light on the marriage of Margaret Ober (Obar, Over) to a John Rohrer or Raber. Margaret Ober was born 22 Feb 1822 in Lancaster Co., PA. She was baptized in Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., PA. According to information on the Internet she married a John Rohrer but census records indicate that she married a John Raber from Berks Co., PA. So the question is: was John as Rohrer or a Raber? It is easy to see how the surname can be misread. So any Ober or Rohrer researcher out there that can shed some light on this marriage would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for any scrap of information.
