    3. You can try checking the Penn State Digital library, they have the Columbia Spy on-line from about 1845 to 1870, as part of their Civil War collection. http://apps.libraries.psu.edu/digital/projects.cfm?type=newspapers You could try checking for either the marriage or the death of John. I did a quick check last night and there were several references to a John S. Mann, who was Vice President of the Columbia Market but this was in 1870 after your John had died. The same John Mann was involved in a fight with the Market Manager. There were a lot of Mann references (about 140) so I didn't go through all of them. While the Columbia Spy was the only Lancaster County newspaper, there were also newspapers for other parts of the state that might interest some of you. They were probably married between 1845-1848. Their oldest son, Amos Griffith, was born 15 Sept. 1848 at Oyster Point. John Mann, b. about 1826, is the son of John and Sarah Mann. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
