Good evening new to the list and need sks to help me if possible. I have been seeking the above book but find that it is out of print and I would appreciate a look up since I cannot locate a copy. In the index I understand that there are the following names GROH and GAINES. Would someone please tell me who these people are using their first names as the index only gave the surnames. I have a brick wall trying to find Thomas Gain (es) b 1801 and Maria Gertrude Kroh (Groh) born 1798. They were married either in Pa (which I believe to be so). Maria was living in Hanover, Pa. I have only found a reference to a court records when Maria's father died and did not leave a will. This paper stated "Polly wife of Thomas Gain" Her father was George Ludwig Kroh of Hanover, Pa. I live in Fl and can only get to Pa once year if I am lucky so would appreciate any help, and thanks in advance. Mary in Fl

I lost a hard drive about a year ago and along with it some notes that I am trying to validate. One of them is the marriage of Valentine Pence to Catherine Oberlin. The note I have says George Valentine BentZ married (Anna Maria) Catherine Oberlin 19 Jan 1741 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. (The Anna Maria part may not have been in this record. This couple's oldest son was John Adam Benz (Pence) born to Valentine and "Maria Cath Oberlin" Benz 15 Jan 1744 and baptized at Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchburg, now in Berks County, Pennsylvania, but I believe (then in Lancaster County. I am looking for the source of my note regarding the marriage of Valentine Pence and Catherine Oberlin. I think this was a from a church record, but I can't find it in any of files. Can anyone help?
