In this discussion about the REED family, could I request that researchers keep their eyes open for an Anne SCOTT who married a REED, probably somewhere in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Andrew SCOTT (and ?) and was living with him in Crosby twp., Hamilton County, Ohio, when he made his will in early 1831. She also had a sister Isabel SCOTT and a brother James SCOTT. Would greatly appreciate any clue. I have this connection between an Ann Scott and a John S. Reed. Who this Anne was has had me puzzled for a long time. She was speculating in land in Benton county Iowa in the 1850s through a lawyer. All her land was in the township near my ancestor Abraham Scott born in Washington co. Pa. in 1805. Abraham was the grandson of Abraham Scott d. 1749 in Chester co. who was a brother of the early Lancaster co. Donegal twp. Scotts: Samuel, Josiah and Alexander. Anna H. Scott (of Harrison Co. OH) from John S. Reed 8Apr1857 12May1857 deed G291 REF: Benton Co.
