The U.S. Military District, where the federal government awarded Revolutionary War bounty land, was in the middle of the state of Ohio, consisting of all or parts of the following counties: Marion, Morrow, Delaware, Franklin, Knox, Licking, Holmes, Coshocton, Muskingum, Tuscarawas, Columbiana, Harrison, Guernsey, and Nobel. The Virginia Military District was also located in Ohio. This is where the State of Virginia awarded some of it's bounty land (VA awarded some of it's Rev. bounty land in the state of KY). The Virginia Military district in Ohio consisted of all or parts of the following counties: Hardin, Marion, Logan, Union, Delaware, Champaign, Madison, Franklin, Greene, Fayette, Pickaway, Warren, Clinton, Fayette, Ross, Highland, Pike, Scioto, Adams, Brown, Clermont, and Hamilton.
