Wed., May 5, 1841 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: MINICH.-At Landisville, on Wednesday last, Mr. Jacob MINICH, Sen. after a lingering illness, which he bore with Christian resignation, in the 67th year of his age. The following Friday his remains were deposited in a neighboring burying ground, attended by a large concourse of weeping relatives and friends--on which occasion the Rev. G. W. Glessner preached an appropriate and feeling discourse from Collossians[sic] IIIc., 4v. The deceased was a worthy citizen of said neighborhood. The poor have lost a friend, as his heart and hand were always open to relieve the wants of the needy; and his hospitable kindness will be shared no more. Peace be to his ashes, until the morning of the resurrection. MINICH.-Yesterday morning, at the late residence of his father, Mr. George MINICH, of consumption, son of the above named, aged about 20 years. his funeral is to take place on Thursday (tomorrow) morning at 9 o'clock, from said residence. Mr. CAMERON was one of most enterprising citizens, and long known as being connected with the Pioneer and of lines of Stages and Cars. His remains were taken to Harrisburg, and there deposited in the "narrow house" in the presence of many friends and relatives.
