That would depend on whether the file was done before or after the invention of xerox machines. DAR has been around for a long time. I understand that they aren't necessarily accepting people now based on other relatives admission to the society because they're more discriminating on the required proofs. Karen
Yes, I have considered that. Unfortunately, they charge $30 (non-refundable) to do the search for the proof papers whether they find anything or not. I will request the search as a last resort. In the DAR papers it is written that a certified copy of the Bible record was attached to the original application. This may not include the title page which I would like to have as well. I found a book on Heritage Quest on the History of Lancaster, PA. It states that Donegal was established in 1722 as an Irish settlement. James Mitchell was an early Justice of Peace. Can anyone tell me what township this was located in in 1722? Kathy
