Everyone, Diana is correct on the #2 page I sent out on Rev. Muhlenberg..........I thought I was contributing again, but during my eye problems and now my bout with Pneumonia and viral infection has severely cut into what I used to contribute. I will have to wait until I can completely recover before I attempt to try anymore answers. I want to thank Diana for bringing up the mistake. I'd almost bet that is "poor Irish people." Joan In a message dated 11/3/2008 3:14:28 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: How interesting! To answer a question about Rev. Henry Melchoir Muhlenberg, according to 'Pastors and People', Vol 1, by Charles Glatfelter, the last entry in his journal was made on 9/29/1787 when he baptized a child. He died 10/7/1787 at Providence, Montgomery Co PA, where he had moved in 1776. Diana in AL [email protected]

Tim: The list you posted is from the records of the younger Henry Muhlenberg (the son).? I think he was stationed right at Lancaster for many years, so perhaps those lists are?more relevant to this list.? The other listings in Heritage Quest is?from the records of the father, and has earlier years.? He did continue marrying people after the last date given in that book.? Those marriages are available from the Lutheran Archives, if you already know the name of one or more of the parties and perhaps the date too.? If anyone knows of the availability of the later dates for Henry Sr.'s records?please let the list know. By the way Barbara R.--I noticed a Ludwig Kopf (or some such spelling) in the Heritage Quest list, and I think it was as a witness.? I didn't note the date, because I didn't know you were still "active." Having someone on the witness list isn't quite as exciting, but sometimes its interesting just to follow up on any connection with the contracting parties because sometimes there can be a connection, and sometimes its friendship or availability?that brings them as witnesses.
