Hi, Thomas Lally immigrated from Scotland, but many of the others immigrated from County Mayo. Other names include Gannon and Duffy. Many of them worked in the coal mines or the railroad. I did a lot of genealogical research about 7 or 8 years ago. I am sure there must be a connection. I have cousins named Lally who grew up in Passaic, NJ.
