Hi, I am responding to the post re: St. Joseph Foundling Home in Dunmore, Pa. My late sister was born there to my late mother in 1941 after my sister's late father abandoned our mother after getting her pregnant. Needless to say, this caused quite a bit of trauma for our mother. Since everyone who could possibly give a rip about any of this is long since dead, I question the logic behind continuing to keep the records sealed around this birth.
