I noticed the surname Slocum.? I have found my exhusbands great great grandfather living with the Slocum family in a census from about 1870 or 1880--I'd have to look it up to find exact date.? I was just curious to see if I could prove a connection between the two families.? My exhusband's grandmother was a Lanning and this would have been her grandfather.
