This is for State Library users: I wonder if any of you Scranton researchers who are regularly working at the State Library would be willing to take a look at the actual Scranton Times for a few days around the death date of my great-grandmother Mary McDade, Mrs. Dennis McDade, of 236 S. Apple St., Dunmore PA. She died April 10, 1895. I tried to order the microfilm through ILL for this time period, and was told that they, the State Library, "do not own the Scranton Times microfilm for the following dates, April 1-June 29, 1895." My cousin, who lives in PA, tried to order a lookup through the Scranton Public Library and was told that their film for that period is missing. Thanks to the efforts of a lister, I have the notice for April 11, 1895, that appeared in the Scranton Tribune. I am most grateful to have that, but would also like to know if there is any more detail in the Times, if, in fact, anything appears there. Thank you. I am still trying to find my Grandmother Alice Barrett Carminita/Cominita b 1894 in Jerymn Pa. She stayed with a cousin July 1920 in Hyde Park Pa. She lost her husband and two little ones, John 3 and Helen age 1. Then she gave birth to my Dad in May 1920 and had a 5 yr old Rose Cominita. Any thoughts would be great I am hoping someone in the family knows the story. Thanks for everyones help. Sandy from NY
