The nearest would have been Washburn Street. However it depends greatly on the time period. My best guess based on my newspaper research is that less than 1 out of 5 of Welsh ancestry in that section (all 3 wards of Providence as it is difficult to tell from newspapers what the ward of residence was) were placed in Washburn. Most ended up in Dunmore or Forest Hills until the late 1920's when Shady Lane and Abington Hills were opened, then the balance changed. However as I only transcribe Washburn information, it is only a best guess. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jana Lloyd" <jlloyd@tgn.com> To: <palackaw@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2008 11:49 AM Subject: Re: [PALACKAW] PALACKAW Digest, Vol 3, Issue 44 : : : It sounds like there are some people on this list who are very : knowledgeable about cemeteries in Scranton.
