Joe Bryer www.grsnp.org I have just discovered my ggg grandmother Elizabeth Thomas living in Scranton in the 1880 census, age 59, widowed at home. She had been consistently understating her age by 10 or more years since her arrival in the US in 1867 - she was actually born in Wales in 1810. She must have died fairly soon after 1880, given her real age. I am in England, so a visit to Scranton Library is probably not on the cards! Is there anyone on the list who visits the library and would be prepared to have a look at their death index to see if her death is recorded there please? I would be most grateful, and happy to reciprocate with any UK census or BMD lookups for the list. Thanks Roger
