    3. As I was filing today, I came across this and thought it might be of interest to someone on the list. All I have is a single sheet, so I do not have any followup funeral notices, etc. Margaret McMullan, whose obit appears, was my paternal great-grandmother. Anne Tullar. The Scranton Times, Thursday, September 28, 1933. Hugh Kelly, well known Old Forge resident, died yesterday morning in the home of his niece, Mrs.William Pilosi, of 500 South Main street, Old Forge. He was born at Carbondale, but had resided at Old Forge for several years. He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church, Old Forge. Besides his niece he leaves two nephews, Joseph and John Dacey, of Carbondale. The funeral will be Friday morning with a requiem mass at 9:30 o’clock in St. Lawrence Church. Interment, St. Joseph’s cemetery, Minooka. Funeral services for Fred H. Winters, of 824 Capouse avenue, will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon in the Schoenfeld Funeral Home, 318 Franklin avenue. Rev. Dr. John Mattes, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment, Forest Hill cemetery. The funeral of Anthony Hafner, of 413 Cherry street, well known South Scranton resident, will be Saturday morning. A high mass of requiem will be sung at 9:30 o’clock in St. Mary’s Assumption Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s (No. 5) cemetery. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. Lucy’s Italian church tomorrow morning for Rocco Gentile, of 218 South Tenth avenue. Burial will be in Cathedral cemetery. Joseph Giogowski, of 1028 south Wyoming avenue, died abut 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon in the Hahnemann Hospital after two weeks’ illness. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Walter; his mother, Mrs. Julius Lackasow; seven sisters, Mres.William Maylor, Mrs. Joseph Patrick, Mrs. Joseph Marcelli, Mrs. Angelo Narslico, all of this city; Mrs. Val Bergemann, of Brookly, N.Y.; Violet and Eleanor Giogowski, at home; three brothers, Carles and John Malinowski, at home; Anthony Malinowski, of Philadelphia. The body is at the home of his mother, at 824 Kellerman court, from where the funeral will be Saturday morning. A high mass of requiem will be sung in Sacred Heart Polish Church at 9 o’clock. Interment, Sacred Heart cemetery, Minooka. A long illness proved fatal to David M. Morgans; seventy-seven, who passed away at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon in his home 543 Kirkland street, North Scranton. He was born in Waales and came to the United States when a youth. He attended the Dr. Jones Memorial Church. His wife died two years ago. Mr. Morgans leaves two brothrs, John Morgans, of this city; Thomas Morgans, of wales. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock in the residence by Rev. John Roberts, pastor of the Dr. Jones Memorial Church. Burial will be in Shady Lane cemetery, Chinchilla. Funeral services for John Stetz, of 722 Sherwood avenue, Dunmore, will be tomorrow morning. A high mass of requiem will be sung at 9:30 o’clock in St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, Dunmore. Burial will be in St. Michael’s cemetery. Mr. Stetz was run down and fatally injured early yesterday morning in the 800 block of East Drinker street, Dunmore, by a hit-run driver. Military honors will be accorded Michael Hughes, whose funeral will be held tomorrow morning from the family home, 1129 reynolds avenue. James Stone, seventy-seven, pioneer Taylor resident, died yesterday morning in the Ransom Hospital. He formerly resided in Washington street, Taylor. Mr. Stone leaves a daughter, Mrs. George E. Williams, of 231 North Main street, Taylor; two sons, Eugene Stone, of Taylor; George Stone, of Scranton. The body has been removed to the home of his daughter, from where the funeral will be at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon with services in charge of Rev. W. J. Hill, former pastor of Taylor Congregational Church. Interment, Memorial cemetery, Taylor. The funeral of Mrs. Mary L. Hards, of Dalton, will be conducted at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning in the home of Dr. and Mrs. A. D. Preston, of Dalton. Private interment, Hickory Grove cemetery, Dalton. A high mass of requiem will be sung in St. Peter’s Cathedral tomorrow morning at 9:30 o’clock for Mrs. Margaret McMullan, widow of Patrolman John McMullan, whose funeral will be from her home, 919 Myrtle street. Burial will be in Cathedral cemetery. Funeral services for Guy Kehler, of 635 Adams avenue, will be held tonight at 8 o’clock in the Howard Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson avenue. Burial will be Friday morning in Forest Lawn cemetery, at Buffalo, N.Y. Mrs. William Lutey died at 10 o’clock Tuesday night in the West Mountain Hospital after several months’ illness. Besides her husband, William Lutey, of Chinchilla, she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Jordan, of Susquehanna; one sister, Mrs. E.E. Wayman, of East Windsor, N.Y.; three brothers, John Jordan, of Rutherford, N.J.; Charles and Walter Jordan, of Susquehanna; also a number of other relatives. She was a member of Order Eastern Star and the Daughters of America. The latter organization will conduct services in the home of Mrs. Gerald McAndrew, of Robinson street, Chinchilla, tomorrow night at 8 o’clock. Funeral services will be held in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Jordan, of Susquehanna, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be in McCune’s cemetery, Susquehanna. Funeral services for Clarence W. Lathrope, of 124 Oak street, Binghamton, N.Y., will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Kelley Funeral Home, 119 Oak street, that city. Interment, Chenango Valley cemetery, Binghamton, N. Y. James Kearney, of Newark, N.J., formerly of Dunmore, died this morning at Newark, after an operation, according to word received by relatives. Besides his wife, at Newark, N.J., he leaves a son, James Gibbons Kearney, of Dunmore. Mrs. Sarah Jane Reese, wife of Fred Reese, of 2200 Luzerne street, died at noon today after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Morgan Davis. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Ruth Reese; four sons, Thomas, Russell, Gordon and Raymond Reese; her mother, Mrs. Maria Davis; a sister, Mrs. Louise Gross; three brothers, Elliott, Morgan and John Davis.
