Dear List: If anyone out there has Family Tree Maker and has had trouble with their file, I would like some help. When I go into Index of Names and type a name in the empty space and then hit o.k. I get another box to type the name and then I get "No Match Found". Family Tree gave me a set of instructions to fix a damaged file with 5 items and I have donel 4 items. When I come to item 5, it is to Export to GEDCOM and then Import to GEDCOM. The first 4 items don't fix the problem, but item 5 seems very complicated. It also deletes any scrapbook items you have. Before I do it, I just wondered if anyone else had ever done this procedure. I have already backed up my file to a floppy so if there is a problem and I lose everything at least I will have a copy. The only problem I seem to have with the file is in the index part. This list is so great with everything, I am sure someone out there can help me. Barbara
