Hi Mary I'm still thinking about your find. Can you tell me anymore? I was wondering if there was anyone else in the grave? When the miners died so suddenly, were there only enough graves for them? If family mmembers died later would there have been room for them? John Harris (Harries) had a child, Margaret, who was born 4 months after his death. She appears on the 1870 Scranton Census, but not on the 1880 Census. My guess is that she died as a child. Do you think she was buried with the dad? His wife, Mary Harris remarried some 10 years later, I assume she is buried with her second husband, John Morgan. I have not found either of them yet. Mary, was there a birth date of year of birth on the marker? I don't know that either. Thanks alot for the info. BTY what else do you know about Aberdare, SW? As I mentioned, my father's father was born there.
