I am looking for information on Matilda Griffin (b. May 4th 1799). She married Benjamin Slocum in 1819...she also married Jacob Niman. She is probably related to four Griffins who moved to the Lackawanna area in the late 1700s/ early 1800s. Stephen Griffin moved in 1794 (Lutze's Fordway area) from Westchester Co., NY followed by Thomas Griffin in 1811, James Griffin in 1812 and Joseph and Isaac Griffin in 1816. Isaac Griffin was born in 1756 and died in Nicholson, PA in 1827. If anyone has ANY info on any of these Griffins please contact me. Thank you.
