    1. [PA-LAC] St Rose Carbondale
    2. Tom Yaccarino
    3. St. Rose cemetary is in tact and you can visit it. It is the oldest of 2 cemetaries in Carbondale. There is a caretaker but there are no real records of the plots. It took two of us about an hour and a half to look at every stone that could be seen. There are some around the edges which have been grown over the current caretaker is trying to reclaim the sections from the shrubs but he is old and he has no help. St Rose church does not have any records before the 60's I believe I was told. The caretaker has some entry books (very incomplete) and is trying to construct a map of the cemetary because of all the inquiries he gets from folks like us. Directions to St Rose cemetary: 81 to Rt 6 east go ten miles to Carbondale. At the first fork in the road veer right to Cottage. Cottage turns into Pike which will take you into downtown Carbondale. after Ciambrones turn right onto S. Main St. go to the top of the hill and turn left.
