Dear Robyn, I took a ride to Scranton today and, while there, I looked for your James (Jacobum) Golden. I am sorry to report that I could find nothing. Then it occurred to me that Avoca, where he lived, is in Luzerne County, not Lackawanna. So I came down to our library here in Wilkes-Barre and searched the Times-Leader from May 18, 1928 to May 25, 1928. Unfortunately, no luck! We had another newspaper in town in those days, called the Wilkes-Barre Morning Record. When I get a chance, I will go back to the library to see if the Record has anything at all about his death. It may be a couple of weeks, though, as I am off for Baltimore on Sunday to visit my daughter and her family. I will get back to you, I promise. I hope that you had a wonderful time in Ireland! Iva

There are Golden's buried in St. John the Evangilist Church Cemetery, Pittson, PA. Luzerne County. We have their records on microfilm. We could look up for you, if you are interested.
