    3. Hi Pat, The Gormley id is a 35 out of 37 marker match with my brother's DNA. My brother's DNA is a straight-line male descent. Only markers 455 and 449 are different. Marker 455=12 seems to be peculiar to the Manley/Munley/ Monnelly/Munnelly surname of NW County Mayo. 455 = 11 is more common to the NW Irish modal. Marker 449 is one of the faster mutating markers, so being off by one is not too unusual. For those who are interested. www.ysearch.org The id for Gormley is 8FB5K and the id for Manley is 9ZQQG. This is the closest match I have found so far to my brother's DNA results. It would be interesting, but difficult to trace either lineage much further because the records in Ireland are so sketchy. I do know that Walt has done some genealogy research on the Munley/Manley/ Monnelly/Munnelly surname from previous correspondence with him.
