    3. I've never heard of the Molly Maguires conducting any activity in the northern Anthracite coal fields. They were limited to the Southern coal fields. You may wish to exclude Lackawanna and Luzerne counties during your search of the Mollies. I invite any one who has knowledge of the Mollies in the northern anthracite fields to comment. According to family lore, his job was to supervise the breaker boys. He later was promoted to breaker boss. Which mine, I don't know. The Mollies were active throughout the region. Among those convicted and hanged was another McAndrew. How he was related to my grandfather - and me - I don't know. It was a fascinating era.
