West Side Paper November, 1926 Many Will Hear Organ Recital at St. Patrick's Prof. Firmin Swinnen, Belgian-American Organist, To Preside at Opening of New Instrument Many wonderful compliments have been paid Prof. Firmin Swinnen, the Belgian-Americann organist, who is to preside at the opening of the new organ in St. Patrick's church, Wednesday evening, Dec. 8. Musical critics have acclaimed him as one of the greatest organ technicians who have toured this country. The members of St. Patrick's parish are to be complimented upon their good fortune in securing his services, as are the people of Scranton in having an opportunity of hearing an organist of such international reputation as is Prof. Swinnen. Admission to the concert will be by ticket only. The members of the Blessed Virgin sodality, who are at present distributing tickets are asked to make their report on Tuesday evening at St. Patrick's rectory.
