    3. In the early 1980's Green Ridge Presbyterian Church merged with Westminster Presbyterian Church on Madison Ave. Membership was declining, and a task force was set up to see which church would be used. This was in effect a farce, as Westminster had many of the wealthier families in town as members such as the Scrantons. The new church became Covenant Presbyterian, and is very much an active church. They are listed in the phone book. I believe some of the records for Westminster may be available on film from LDS. Not sure. Not sure about the records from Green Ridge. Green Ridge Presbyterian is still there. The organ was removed, and although several other churches have bought it, it sits in disrepair. The weeds have taken over the brick sidewalk, the chapel windows are boarded and it is sad to see. I grew up in the church and live only a few blocks away. Tom Price
