I had my digital camera while in Archbald in June. I created two videos from my stills and uploaded them to youtube.com #1. Called: Our Miners The postcard shows Archbald in the early 1900's and the next photo will show the same spot in 2005. Then You'll see the Gravity Slope buildings in Archbald. I was able to stand outside of the first building and get some inside shots. I was not able to get inside shots of the other buildings. I got some great shots standing at the bottom of the hill. These guys do a wonderful job every year. Do you have any knowledge of the White Oak mine in Archbald? My grandfather died as the result of an accident there in 1900.
