IF she truly did immigrate in 1864, and you can't find her in PA in 1870, then she may have still been in NY at that time. I'm sorry I didn't give you more information: Margaret WALSH, b. l855 in Canada moved to Pennsylvania sometime in the early l870's and married Charles O'Malley. They started having children in l874. Their first child was either Francis or William, followed by Anna, Margaret, Mary and Helen. Charles O'MALLEY died in l885 and their is no death certificate for him. I have searched in Canada for her birth certificate but she was born before registration was required. My grandmother was Anna OMalley Boland. She married Patrick J. Boland in l905 and they lived in Scranton. Margaret married Charles HAHNEL and they lived in Elmira, NY. Mary m. Frank KENNEDY and Helen m. Thomas FARRELL. They lived for a time in Olyphant. I imagine Margaret Walsh came to Olyphant with a relative or to work for one but I don't know which Walsh might have been related or how to find out. She died in January, l910 before the census was taken and there is no mention of her in the l900 census. BTW in the l880 census they are listed under MALLEY. I almost didn't find them at all. If someone could just point me in the right direction to keep searching I would be very appreciative of the help.
