    3. Hi everyone, Since the list has been a little quiet lately I thought I would take the opportunity to ask for some help. My ggrandmother disappeared from the census after l880. I cannot find any record of her until she dies in l910 in Olyphant. Her husband Charles O'Malley died in l885 leaving her with 4-5 children to raise. I have checked all of her children to see if she lived with them to no avail. What I need is a substitute for the l890 census. On her death certificate a Mrs. Thomas DOUGHERTY gives the information, not one of her children. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, are there any directories for Olyphant? Would there have been any obituaries for someone who died there and in what newspaper. Any help would be most appreciated. BTW she was buried in St. Patrick's cemetery in Olyphant but I have not been able to get any help from the church. Toni Elmira, NY

    3. Do you have the 1910 census of her? Maybe this is correct. Up to you. If so you can search the census for Mrs Dougherty living on the same street and might find them. The one I found is below. 229 Pike Street--Carbondale Mary OMalley age 70 married 54 yrs with 10 children and 9 living. She is from Ireland with Irish descendant. She immigrated in 1848 and Owns the house. Thomas OMalley, son, 50, single, PA, Laborer in Coal Mines. Elle OMalley, daughter, 35, single, PA, no occupation. Joseph OByrne, Grandson, 22, single, PA, Wheel runner, Coal mines. Hope this helps. But at least is is a process of elimination.
