No relation that I am aware of. Being a keeper of Rees(e) information, it's hard to determine whether Thomas, William, or John is the most common christian name. There are sure a lot of them <g>! Thomas L. Rees married Susie Bannon, daughter of Isabella Wilson and James Bannon, English immigrants, on June 29, 1936. William E. Jones, the Justice of the Peace at West Pittston performed the ceremony according to the license, 644C, recorded in vol. 99 at Luzerne Co. Her birth place appears to be Albarna, but it is not fully legible, so I suspect it might be Alabama. The indication was that her previous husband was deceased in Nov. 1928. Thomas was the son of Frances A. Lyons and Benjamin F. Rees from the Blakely area and had a brother Bert D. Reese. Thomas's first wife was was Sarah Rolls, who died in Dec. 3, 1918. I list a dozen children from their marriage, and have 4 generations including his parents. BTW, a grandson, was Rev. James Reese, of the Walzer Bible Church; and the last I knew was in Gibson, PA, in Dec. 1998. Rev. Reese was the minister who performed the marriage ceremony of my cousin Carl and his wife Valeri. If you'd like to have their genealogy (as much as I've pieced together) just ask. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2005 1:44 AM Subject: Re: [PA-LAC] OBITUARY for MARY ANN THOMAS > Any relation to Thomas Reese, Scranton, PA.
