Dear list, Is there anyone out there with ANY info regarding a small non-mainstream church on Union Ave, Scranton? This would be in the Petersburg section of the city, just off Ash St. I am told that the church was started by a Frank(Francesco) Stefanelli. Unsure of the year. I spoke with the stepdaughter of Stefanelli, and all she remembers is that it was called THE ITALIAN MISSION. There is no listing of it on the 1942-43 church list on Lackawanna Co. web site, and Lackawanna Historical Society found nothing on it...so now I am using one of my lifelines and polling the audience...Does anyone know anything???
