Kevin KENNY wrote a book entitled "Making Sense of the Molly Maguires" that I found helpful, amoung other things, to understand the position of Irish immigrants and coal miners in Ireland and Pennsylvania in the 1800's. CROWN, who knows the DIFINITIVE history of the so-called Mollies. He has a couple of books, but I would try "A guide to the Molly Maguires" Howard CROWN holds lectures upon request at various functions. Both of these books can be found at The Treasure Shop 44 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229, 570-325-8380. The weekends in Jim Thorpe are a mojor tourist trap.
