Can you please advise if I've asked for too much info -- or if I did not ask it in the proper format ? As you requested, I joined your mailing list -- receive daily replies/inquires from others -- without any reference to my enquiry. I've exhausted SSDI and hope to further my search. Hello Ellie, These websites have helped me- 1) I found some ancestors on this website by just patiently searching each available searchable cemetery website- Rootsweb "Cemeteries in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania" http://www.rootsweb.com/~palackaw/forest/cemeteryindex.html 2) Have you written a letter to the Lackawanna Historical Society? They are wonderful and helpful for a small fee. http://www.lackawannahistory.org/ 3) You can order a city directory search at lineages.com http://www.lineages.com/Research/lkdetails.cfm?recordID=289 Order this search and receive a photocopy of all listings for one surname, in one city, for one year. It is $3.00 plus $2.00 Shipping and Handling Years available for Scranton, PA - 1861, 1865, 1867, 1870, 1873, 18751876, 18791896, 18981921, 19231933, 1935 Good luck, Carolyn ----------------------------------- On 5/17/05 9:35 AM, "ellie" <[email protected]> wrote: > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: ellie > To: [email protected] > Sent: Wednesday, May 11, 2005 7:28 AM > > > > Subject: Fw: Scranton, PA - seek: d-o-d, burial, obit, occupation 1904-1992 > > > About two months ago posted - with no response(s). > > Can you please advise if I've asked for too much info -- or if I did not ask > it in the proper format > ? > > As you requested, I joined your mailing list -- receive daily replies/inquires > from others -- > without any reference to my enquiry. > > I've exhausted SSDI and hope to further my search. > > Thank you. > > ellie http://www.Kositch.US > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: ellie > To: [email protected] > Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2005 8:59 AM > > > Subject: Scranton, PA - seek: d-o-d, burial, obit, occupation 1904-1992 > > > > Can some Internet Angel(s) please help me document where they are buried and > if we have living > relitives: > > > 1.) seeking -- d-o-d / burial /obits for my g-father's: sister, her husband > & their children -- > My g-father was christened (1878) in a Greek Orthodox church in Medina, Tolna > Hungary -- I assume > that his sister (Milka, Amelia) directed her family toward the same religion, > after they left > Raczmecske / Erdo:smecske. > I have exhaused Census and SSDI (where next to search?).
