Margaret - When looking for a phone/address of someone try www.whitepages.com you can be as general or specific as you want with varying results. There are 43 Heitmans and 3 Hautmans in Pennsylvania. I'm interested in the HAUTMAN name. My family is actually HARTMAN(N) from GER. In the 1850 Census Mount Pleasant, Wayne Co., PA there is a John HAUTMAN age 30 b GER, wife Barbary age 30 b Ger, children - Barbary 5 b NY, Mary 2 b PA, and Casimer 9 b Ger. I guess by coincidence my line of Hartman is by Casimir who emigrated to US in 1851 at age 9. I thought this 'U' was perhaps a mistake in the handwriting of the census taker, but sadly (for me) it must be correct. Casimer had a bro. Johann so it all fit!
