In response to MARY CASEY, I have the same problem not knowing where my TEEVAN ancestors came from in Ireland. All my records just say "Ireland". I do know that they emigrated in May 1870 to NY and was naturalized in Oct 1982 thanks to Joe Breyer from GRSNP, who has been very helpful in my quest. I plan to visit Scranton the 2nd week of Sept and I am looking forward to meeting Joe. Sadly PATRICK'S (my grandfather) naturalization papers were hard to read and with little information. They settled in Dunmore, PA between 1870-75 since 1-2 children were born there. There is some question about HENRY's(Patrick's brother) place of birth, since the 1880 census says Ireland, 1900 says PA and 1910 says Canada. So much for the census. I plan to also search for the Ships Passenger list now that I know an exact month/yr and port of entry, but I afraid that all I'll get is where they sailed from and not where they actually lived. I am very thankful for the information that I do have, since I have only been working on my family for the past 4 yrs. Verna
