Interested in finding any HARTMAN(N) info. My Casimir b 1841 Odernheim, Bavaria, GER, emigrated 1850/51. Casimir was in Scranton by 1865 when he married Sarah Ann TRANSUE in Zion Lutheran Ch. They had 4 children: Ida Mae John Wm. Geo. Lewis. Edwin Peter (my line) m Eva Mackey TURNER dau. of Franklyn Varney TURNER Casimir had a brother, Jacob b 1826 Bavaria, GER, and there was a Jacob HARTMAN as a witness to Casimir's wedding so am assuming this was his brother. Casimir emigrated at the age of 9/10 so must have come with an older sibling. Anyone have any info on a Jacob Hartman?? I have found a Casimir Hartman in the 1850 census of Mount Pleasant, Wayne Co., PA living with the John/Barbara Hartman family. The Casimir shown is the correct age and he did have a brother named Johann. Also, Johannes MEYER b Westphalia, GER 1833 to US age 20 d 1908 and Dorothea (MIRTZ) d 1910, both born in GER (both buried in Pittston Ceme. and belonged to the Hickory Str. Presbyterian Ch.) who had dau. Carolena Augusta b 1859 m Franklyn Varney TURNER in Scranton. Know absolutely nothing more re MIRTZ. Meyer's lived on Cedar Ave., Scranton and he was connected with the Nay Aug Tribe of Red Men # 140, and the Odd Fellow's branch No 413 or 418? Any info appreciated.
