I just had to tell everyone that some catholic churches are very cooperative. I put out a query on a Missouri board and got a response from someone working in a parish in Missouri. She looked up a few things and then asked me for more dates, names, etc. and today in the mail I received 5 baptism and one marriage record. She also typed up a translation for each one and said there was no charge. I know that some parishes are busier than others, but I was really surprised and pleased and will send a "donation" to her.
