I've "rescued" the original marriage certificate belonging to Friedrich Johann HOEFFNER and Elizabeth Karoline BOTKE, both of Scranton, Pennsylvania. They were married by E. J. SCHMIDT Pastor on 8 November 1905 in Scranton, PA with Elizabeth KELLERMAN and Charles HOEFFNER witnessing the ceremony. This is a beautiful old certificate written all in German, on the back someone has written the family name as HOFFNER. I'm hoping to locate someone in this family so that this beautiful family heirloom can be returned to its rightful place with family.
