Hello list.. Most of my family research has been in NY and this is my first step into PA. I don't know what resources are available. I am looking for death date , obit, and or death cert for Joseph Kostala, born Aust./Hungary abt 1868, and wife Annie ( Ovat) Kotsala born about 1875. Joseph is listed as a city constable. In the 1910 census they are living on fourth St. in Scranton.with ix children (Joseph, George, Peter, Mary Annie) The draft registrations for the boys in 1918 show that they are at 617 Alden St. in Scranton. Listing their mother as closest relative. I assume that means that father Joseph died between the 1910 census and 1918. Are there any on-line resources that can get me started?? David North Carolina
