Mary, Was Dominick from the Easkey area? Jim Dolan PS: This shows you how far behind I am. -----Original Message----- From: palackaw-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:palackaw-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of MCasey863@aol.com Sent: Friday, November 16, 2007 3:28 PM To: palackaw@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PALACKAW] South Scranton 50 Years Ago Hi Jim, That was a wonderful article you transcribed for all of us. Thank you very much. Although my ggrandfather, Dominick Gilmartin, a puddler, didn't live in the South End (not that I know of), he was listed in 1870 as working in the Rolling Mill and living on Hemlock St. There was also a John Gilmartin working as a Puddler, working at the New Rolling Mill in 1873. I wish I knew if they were related. I read the article through but their names weren't listed. I enjoyed all the information anyway. Thank you for all your work.
