I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Peter FRITZ which was taken at the Owen's Gallery in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's with Peter likely in his teens at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I believe I was able to locate this family in the 1900 census of Scranton, PA as follows: Peter FRITZ, age 45, born Feb 1855, married 18 years, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1872, a Farmer Katie FRITZ, wife, age 37, born Jul 1862, married 18 years, 10 children/10 living, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1867 Peter FRITZ Jr., son, age 18, born Feb 1882, born PA, a Printers apprentice Conrad FRITZ, son, age 16, born Aug 1883, born PA, at School John FRITZ, son, age 15, born Mar 1885, born PA Jake FRITZ, son, age 12, born Mar 1888, born PA, at School Katie FRITZ, dau, age 10, born Jun 1889, born PA, at School Lena FRITZ, dau, age 9, born Apr 1891, born PA, at School Annie FRITZ, dau, age 7, born Mar 1892, born PA, at School Mary FRITZ, dau, age 5, born Jan 1895, born PA William FRITZ, son, age 2, born Oct 1897, born PA Teresa FRITZ, dau, age 1 month, born May 1900, born PA I'm hoping to locate someone from his family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of his family.
