This is from the book "Indians of Pennsylvania" by Paul A.W. Wallace. The book is from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Ed, I need to go back and re read ( re find it first ) but I do recall that the Cherokee were in the region in the 1700s. This surprised me as I thought they were further south and west. The Deleware ( as you so rightly put it the Lenni Lenape ) were also in the area as were a number of other tribes too. Laurence
